Site Selection & Narrative:
The parking plaza has been left abandoned due to a lot of reasons from the past few years, the narrative here is to take advantage of the existing strategic location of Parking Plaza i.e. a conjunction of so many areas accessing thus the public can take advantage. Also the form has been driven in a way that it retains a visual connection with the context in a more magnetic manner.
Conceptual Development
Communal Breathing Spaces
This is another view of an interior courtyard opposite to the last one here, the idea behind nourishing the contextual essence of the area that the public should own the space in several ways, that way the students were promoted to do mural arts over the necessary shear walls of the structure that were a challenge.
Student Facilitation Dormitories
The places have been thought off to rejuvenate the spirit of public inhabiting and owning the public architecture, in a way that it provides safe and secure ambiance with proper ventilation, daylight and access. Here an interior scene of a court at floor 6 which is portraying the live-able area creating a communal space for students and passerby, meanwhile the hostel room lobby is right aside.
Terracotta Façade Detail
The parking plaza was shattered with terracotta drop off where as the vegetation will provide a fresh ambiance and cover upon the dry outlook this way the elevation elevates in itself retaining the contextual entity yet exhibiting an exhilarating breeze.
